Manchester Thunder players take over Hotel Football

The Gorton-based netball teamed enjoyed a meal and a tour of the project at Old Trafford

It may be called Hotel Football, but Manchester Thunder netball team proved it doesn’t exclusively appeal to those who enjoy kicking a ball around.

The reigning Superleague champions were invited to try the menu at Cafe Football and take a tour of the hotel and its key features.

The Gorton-based team jumped at the chance to take a night off from their usual strict diets – and training – to tuck into burgers, steaks and ice cream.

Their coach Tracey Neville, who is the sister of former Manchester United playersGary and Phil Neville, who along with other Class of 92 members co-own the £24m hotel in the shadows of Old Trafford, joined her team for the mid-season treat.
